Ryder Lum: "Thanks, Dad"

Ryder Lum and some of his 4th grade classmates at Noelani Elementary School celebrated Ryder's selection as the winner of Lex Brodie's "Thank you... very much" essay contest in January. Ryder wrote a thank you letter to his father for, among other things, diagnosing his cancer by doing his own research. As part of the Lex Brodie program, the child chooses a favorite community organization to share in the prize winnings, and Ryder chose HCCF.
